Miraculous Warning

Something like what I saw

That night I knew that what I was seeing on the ceiling of my room was not the usual reflection of the water of the pool illuminated by the light of one of the lamp posts. It was a very tall body with a greyish/white smoky color that only told me one word: “Listen!”. Next morning I woke up and I knew that what I had seen was an angel. A kind of unusual angel.

It was a time for decisions for me. The work I was doing was far more demanding than my bosses knew and I was putting all my strength and faith in doing it. However, my salary still was not near what it was before I accepted this “missionary” work and I had a new job offer.

Some members of my church had a mission in South America and they needed a person in my country of origin. They talked to me about it and it was a good offer.

I asked for some time to think about it. Meanwhile I was due to go to Jamaica to train members of our offices there on how to use the software to expedite the translation of the Bible into the local Jamaican English also known as Patois or Patwa.

I had to spend some days there. So after the Friday devotional that morning, the Secretary approached me and invited me to go to his church on Sunday. I said I would let him know.

Later that same Friday, one of my students approached me and asked me if I was interested in visiting his church on Sunday. He said, “It’s a Rastafari Church and our music is reggae!”

Of course, I was interested.

I let the Secretary know that I was going to another church that Sunday with some of my students.

We sat in what used to be a movie theater at the last and highest balcony because the place was already full when we arrived!

The service was loud and the music splendid! The pastor had a very good message, Then, to my total surprise, when he finished his message, he said: “The Lord is giving me a warning for a lady that is sitting up there in the balcony and is visiting our church! “

I knew it was for me!

He continued: “Our Father and Lord says you have to continue where you are. Stay put where I planted you!”

That was the precise message I needed.

Not only that, but when I came back to my office in Miami a letter from my boss was waiting. It said that he had talked to some computer engineers in Mexico during his last visit and described the work I was doing. The engineers told him that I was doing the work of at least five people, and that I deserved a better salary. So he was recommended to his superiors to name me a Consultant and raise my salary accordingly.

I let the people at my church know that, after all, the Lord wanted me to continue what I was doing!
I did!
I also realized that the unusual angel I had seen that night was a Jamaican angel!
Miracles do happen!
